NW8 – St John’s Wood – Bespoke Sash Windows & Garage Structure
Large six bedroom period house located close to all amenities of St John’s Wood. Being a detached house it also benefits from a large private garden.
As the owner does a lot of traveling he assigned his trusted site manager, Vlad to be in charge of the works. The project lasted over a period of 18 months.
Throughout the property, there is a combination of 30 slim double glazed Conservation sash and large floor to ceiling casement windows, all with Georgian bars. Windows were delivered fully finished in White External and Primed Internal, as the owner was keen in the decorator’s hand painting the units with a specific paint, he ordered from the USA.
Windows in the rear elevation, are complemented with Georgian French door sets, some with fixed glazed side panels. The feature staircase window is fixed. To the basement level, there are a couple of more fixed windows equipped with Trickle vents. There are also 2 semicircle windows to the top floors and 2 rounded windows – flower shaped, to follow the architectural external work.
A great deal of time, love and effort have gone into this re-creation. Original sash features have been reinstated, to enhance the character of the property both internally and externally.
